English Speaking Skills Development for SCi-Staff X Diverse Tastes of SCi-KKU

On February 8, 2024, in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Faculty of Science organized an activity to develop basic English communication skills for support personnel. Dr. Sukhum Ruangchai, Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Public Communications was the speaker. A total of 33 people, including support personnel, participated.

The activities on that day were full of knowledge about sentence structures used to assist foreign students and teachers who come to request services. The participants also had fun playing group games. Each group consisted of both personnel and international students engaging in activities and using English together. The personnel scored higher on the post-test than the pre-test, indicating an increased ability to use English. This activity not only familiarized personnel with the use of English but also boosted everyone’s confidence in communicating in English.

In the evening, at 4:30 p.m., the faculty organized the “Diverse Tastes of SCi KKU” activity at SCi-Square. Administrators, professors, personnel, Thai, and foreign students participated. Assistant Professor Angkana Boonyued, the Dean, opened the event, which aimed to have personnel, Thai students, and foreign students jointly selling various foods, including both Thai and international cuisines, as well as other products. These products included faculty shirts, Faculty of Science theater tickets (WHY ME?) from the theater group, a fortune-telling booth run by statistics majors, and much more. Additionally, a student band played for attendees to enjoy. The activity was considered both delicious and enjoyable, providing a fun experience for all participants.
