Physics Students, KKU Won 1 Gold Medal and 2 Silver Medals at the National Innovation and Invention Competition THAILAND NEW GEN INVENTORS AWARD: I-NEW GEN AWARD 2021-2022 On February 6, 2022, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) held a closing ceremony. “Inventor’s Day 2021 – 2022″ and the award ceremony for youth inventions in the Thailand New Gen Inventor Award project: I-New Gen Award 2021-2022 at the Center Stage, Event Hall 102-104, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center, BITEC Bangna, Bangkok. Dr. Wiparat Deeong, Director of the National Research Council of Thailand, was the chairman along with the distinguished committee of experts and executives of the National Research Council of Thailand.   The youth inventions award in the Thailand New Gen Inventor Award project: I-New Gen Award 2021-2022, is divided into 3 levels of competition, namely secondary school, vocational level, and higher education, in 5 subject groups: group 1 agriculture, group 2 food, group 3 health and medicine, group 4 energy, chemical and biomaterials, and group 5 tourism.   A team of students from the physics department participated in the competition for innovations and inventions at the higher education level and won the prize in the 4th group as follows;   1. Thai Battery towards the Sustainable Development Goals Won a gold medal and received the second runner-up with prize money of 50,000 baht. The members are 1. Mr. Pholdej Butyot, 2. Ms. Jiraphan Jaikawang, 3. Mr. Songyuth Kaewmala, 4. Ms. Rattiya Hongthong, 5. Ms. Thaksaphorn Khanngern, 6. Ms. Pattaya Photanat, 7. Mr. Pisit Chikwang, 8. Mr. Teerawat Krachangapiwat and 9. Mr. Purumet Pipitworakul with Associate Professor Dr. Nongluck Meethong, Materials Science and Nanotechnology Program, as a project leader and supervisor.   2. Invention of a Triboelectric Nano Electric Source from Cement Material for Motion Sensors and Mechanical Energy Harvesting. Won a silver medal. The members are 1. Ms. Jiraphan Sinthusiri, 2. Mr. Wittawat Thongthapthai and 3. Mr. Krisanaphan Nokchaiyaphum with Associate Professor Dr. Wiyada Hanchana, Materials Science and Nanotechnology Program, as a project leader and supervisor.   3. Natural rubber mechanical energy harvesting equipment Won a silver medal. The members are 1. Mr. Suwat Buathong, 2. Ms. Weeraya Boonriew, 3. Ms. Intu-on Appamato and 4.
