Located 25 km from the city of Khon Kaen, the 10-metre \u201cPhrathat\u201d\u00a0 is regarded as Khon Kaen\u2019s most sacred pagoda. Constructed in the Lan Xang style, Phrathat Kham Kaen features a wide base shaped like an inverted lotus. The top is adorned with a gold tiered umbrella. To its east, is the old ordination hall, known in the local Isan dialect as \u201csim\u201d. Isan-style sims were widespread throughout Thailand\u2019s northeast several decades ago. However, because of their small size, most of them were demolished to make way for the bigger ordination hall, usually constructed in the Central Thai style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nine-level pagoda is located inside Wat Nong Waeng, less than 3 km from the venue of SPC2025. The temple is regularly frequented by Buddhists and visitors alike. The pagoda accommodates different activities of the visitors – be it merit making, learning the history of Khon Kaen through wall paintings, getting to know traditional dos and don’ts based on Isan\u2019s folklore, or enjoying a great view of the city of Khon Kaen from the top of Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Located a few steps away from KKU\u2019s Kanlapaphruek Gate, Naarbaan is one of the most popular among university students. Because of its great location and famous live music performances, the bar can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Do arrive early or reserve your table in advance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Kronen Brauhaus by Pullman Khon Kaen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        According to its Facebook page, the brewery is \u201cThailand’s first in-house hotel mini brewery run by a German brewmaster\u201d. Here you \u201ccan sit back and enjoy a live band in a laid-back atmosphere serving homebrewed beer along with European cuisine\u201d. Simply descend down the lift or the stairs from the venue for one of Khon Kaen\u2019s most famous homebrewed beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          A great place for chillaxing, Meister Brewz is among Khon Kaen\u2019s beer lovers\u2019 favourite. From witbier to weizen, and IPA to pilsner, the place boasts the greatest variety of homebrewed beers in Khon Kaen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
