Integrated Nanotechnology Research Center (NANO-KKU)

The center aims to conduct multidisciplinary research to develop notably innovative tools and processes in nanotechnology, for example: thermoelectric devices and dry sensitized solar cells; nanocrytalline diamond substrates for gene and protein detection; high dielectric and optical properties nanocrytalline metal oxide compounds and ceramics; and nanofiber scaffolds fabricated from synthetic and natural biopolymers for tissue engineering and artificial skin grafting and wound dressing incorporated with herbal medicines. With the contribution and network of scientists from various institutions both within and outside Thailand, the center is expected to become a prestigious institution for efficient development of nanotechnology research and human resources in the northeast of Thailand.
